Curriculum Lists will be emailed to you once you are registered and enrolled in our program for the appropriate grade that your child is registered in. Curriculum will need to be purchased by parent prior to the first day of classes. Some textbooks may be rented from Cordis Academy.

Sample Textbooks that we use:

History: Mystery of History vol. 3, BJU World History, BJU United States History, BJU The American Republic, BJU World Studies; as well as historical fiction of the time period

Economics/Government: ABeka American Government and Economics

Math: BJU Math K5 thru 3; Saxon 54, 65, 76, Chalkdust: Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry.

Grammar: 2nd-9th grade Easy Grammar

4th-12th grade-English from the Roots Up

Phonics: Explode the Code

Composition: K-12th grade The Write Source

Literature/Storytime with activities for K-2nd grade: classics from the time period read to the students in class

Literature (3rd-12th grade): classics from the time period

Science:

K-6th grade: Exploring Creation Series by Jeannie Fullbright

Scientific topics to be covered for each time period:

Ancient – Geology and Botany; Medieval/Renaissance – Zoology: Land Animals; Baroque – Zoology: Birds and Insects & Zoology: Aquatic Animals; Classical – Anatomy & Medicine/Health; Romantic – Simple Machines & Physics and Chemistry; Modern – Astronomy (Space Race) & Meteorology. For the 2010-2011 school year, the students will be studying Animals and we will be using the textbook: Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Birds and Insects and Zoology II: Aquatic Animals.

7th- 12th grade: BJU Life Science; Apologia General Science; Abeka Physical Science; Apologia Biology, Apologia Chemistry; Apologia Physics

Spanish: 7th-12th grade: Paso a Paso

Latin: Latin in the Christian Trivium Volume 1 & 2

The Master's Academy of Fine arts is a homeschool fine arts school where students taught from a historical perspective. The Master's Academy focuses on teaching music, art, drama, and history through six distinct historical periods. These include: ancient, medeival-renaissance, baroque, classical, and romantic. The children are exposed to choir, plays, drawing, painting, music theory, dance, and art history. We are committed to providing a homeschool art program that encourages children to Glorify God through excellence in the arts. Many of our homeschool art students have received large scholarships to universities based soley on their portfolio work completed at Master's Academy of Fine Arts. We understand the importance that the arts play in our culutre, and desire for every homeschool art student to learn about the arts through a God centered historical perspective. Our well rounded homeschool art program centers on Christ, by teaching our students not just the techniques, but also a historical worldview that shows them the importance of using their art to glorify God.
